Do I
need a reservation?
Reservations
are not necessary, but are recommended. We recommend advance reservations
of two weeks during the busy summer season (June through September)
and one week during the off-season. Couples sessions (two appointments
scheduled at the same time, either in the same or separate rooms)
book up quickly any time of year and so we recommend a 2-3 week
reservation time for those. However, with any appointment there
is always a chance that we will be able to get you in for a same-day
appointment, so don't hesitate to contact us.
Do you
offer outcall massage and spa services?
We do offer
outcall massages and will travel to your home or lodging in Bayfield,
Washburn, Ashland, Madeline Island and Cornocupia. The fee for on-site
services is $75 per therapist in addition to the regular cost per
session. This travel fee is increased to cover the ferry fee if
we are traveling to Madeline Island. Massage tables measure about
three feet by six feet, so you want to make sure you have an appropriate
space for the therapist to set-up before scheduling an outcall service.
Facials and our other spa services require equipment that is not
easily portable, so we typically do not offer these as outcall services.
Since there is preparation and travel time involved with outcall
services, we recommend advance reservations of at least one month.
Chair massage
for group events is also available and can be a wonderful addition
to holiday parties, baby showers and corporate events. Please contact
us for more information.
Do you
offer couple's treatments?
Yes, you may
choose to receive services with a partner in our couple's treatment
room or individually in your own room. We offer the following services
available as couple's treatments: 30, 60, 90 or 120 minute massages
(including hot stone massage), our 45-minute or 75-minute Grateful
Back and Ultimate Relaxer spa treatments, the Crown Treatment and
the Peppermint Pedissage. Our facials and other spa treatments must
be done in an individual treatment room.
What
payments do you accept?
We accept cash,
check (out-of-town is fine) and credit card (MC, VISA and Discover).
Do you
sell gift certificates?
Yes, gift certificates
can be purchased online or in
person at Superior Body.
Should
I arrive early for my appointment and should I bring special clothing?
Arriving 5-10
minutes before your appointment gives you ample time to complete
our brief healthy history form and to enjoy some water or tea before
your treatment. You may also download
this form and bring it with you if you prefer.
No special attire
is required though we recommend wearing clothing that can be easily
washed since massage sessions typically incorporate an oil or lotion.
Are
your therapists licensed?
Yes, all of
our staff is Wisconsin state-licensed. We are a Wisconsin state-licensed
Aesthetics and Manicuring Establishment and gladly follow all recommended
safety and sanitation guidelines. All of our staff takes pride in
their individual training and experience and encourage you to take
advantage of their expertise.
Do you
offer a discount for groups?
We love having
groups come to Superior Body and are happy to work with you to design
the perfect day for your party. Depending on the season and the
number of services your group schedules, we may at times be able
to offer a group discount. Please note that for groups receiving
multiple services (such as manicures, pedicures and spa treatments),
we require a 50% deposit that is non-refundable after 48 hours prior
to the date of appointments. Please contact
us for assistance in scheduling a spa day for your group!
